Drivers licence medical tests
Do you need to get a medical report for your driving licence or renew your driver’s licence? Our team can check your general health and eyesight to ensure you’re eligible for a driver licence.
Driving licence medical test
Safe driving behind the wheel is a priority for all drivers and passengers in NZ, and getting a driver’s licence medical is a great way to ensure this. Waka Kotahi NZTA requires everyone to submit a medical report for drivers licence renewals or issues. You might need a routine eyesight check, an extra workplace licence or medical certifications for something specific. Regardless, we’re here to help.
We can easily assess your current fitness to drive with a health check-up and vision check for driving.
Please call our Customer Services Team to arrange a Driving Licence medical test time. The MyIndici patient portal doesn’t allow for these bookings.
Do I need a driving licence medical test?
You’ll need a test if you need to apply for or renew:
- a heavy vehicle class licence
- an endorsement for passenger, recovery services, driving instruction or testing.
- a licence for drivers aged 75+.
- a Driver’s licence certificate for a medical condition that could in any way compromise your ability to operate a vehicle.
Come and see us if Waka Kotahi NZTA has requested you to supply a medical certificate for driver licence application.
