Highbrook Med: all your health services in one place

Lucy Hall By: October 13, 2022
Highbrookmed Health Hub

The Highbrook Med health services Hub opened its doors to the business community in a South Auckland showcase in September 2022. Our GM, Lucy Hall, details how this will help you easily access a variety of healthcare options.

Now officially open: The Highbrook Med Health Hub

If you visited our Medical Centre last year and noticed signage for Highbrook Med, you might have wondered how Highbrook Medical Centre differs.

However, entering the impressive pavilion building now, it is crystal clear that Highbrook Med is the umbrella health hub under which our  GP clinic sits. In a nutshell, Highbrook Med is a thriving one-stop shop for your whānau health needs. In September, we celebrated the first year of the purpose-built medical hub with the fantastic teams from our Highbrook Med health partners. Time for a celebration after a busy year of preparation.

What is a Health Hub? (And what services does it offer)

In recognition of the need for accessible healthcare, our Highbrook Health Hub has been designed to bring together the top health services your family and colleagues need. With Highbrook Medical offering you day-to-day medical care, our team of GPs are now able to easily refer you to other services you may need.

Conveniently located in our shared facility, you can find a range of trusted health and wellbeing partners offering services, including:

How does combining community health services make life easier?

As part of our promise to bring our South Auckland community continuity of care, it’s now easy to visit your GP, pick up a prescription at the onsite pharmacy or schedule an appointment for your Dental or physiotherapy needs.

Situated in the heart of the Highbrook Business Park, the Hub is poised to support the community of workers who keep businesses in the park ticking. We know it’s hard to get time off work for self-care, so creating an accessible place where you can pop in from work is especially helpful.

A place for all the whānau to feel catered for

Central to Highbrook Med is our fantastic cafe, Kompass Coffee. While you wait for a prescription or follow an appointment, you can grab a quick pick-me-up and be fuelled to head back to the office or your day. Every detail of Highbrook Med has been carefully planned to ensure ease of access, comfort and safety. We’re sure you’ll love our bright and airy health services centre as much as we do.

It’s also good to know that with the Highbrook Medical clinic we are continuing to come up with new initiatives to support all health needs. Namely, access to urgent care type services through our new full-time Extended Care Paramedic. Our experienced paramedic is available to assess and triage workplace injuries and accidents that occur in the surrounds. Also, it’s now easy to sign up with a GP online with our new registration form.

We’re looking forward to seeing you soon. Nip out and have a look
